Core Musica is a Windows desktop app. Start with the stable installer unless you have a reason to use a portable build or a preview release.

Use the stable Windows installer for the default experience. Choose the portable build only when you need a file-based install footprint.
2. Verify before you run
Review the release page for checksums, highlights, and any compatibility or support guidance tied to that version.
3. Keep the install kind consistent
When upgrading, stick with the same install type where possible so release behavior and troubleshooting steps stay predictable.
What to expect from Core Musica
Core Musica is focused on local-library listening and similarity-driven playlist generation — not streaming-service integration.
